Getting Back Into It

The Year 9's returned from Snow Camp and have been sharing their fun and stories from the slops. They have already started the process of gearing up to heading off on another exciting camp, where they will be hiking in the Grampians. Students received packs earlier this week to get some practice packing and walking in (if they're really keen) before camp next week. The camp will run from Wednesday the 4th to Friday the 6th of September.

Captured below are some shots from a Year 9 English class this week. Students have transitioned back into the swing of classes almost seamlessly. There's always some clunks and bumps after being away a whole week, but our Year 9s are making us proud with their demonstration of resilience and responsibility in the classroom.

Exciting Future Ahead

Year 8's completed their TTC orientation on Friday, 23rd of August. They all shared that they enjoyed the day and thought it was a great introduction to TAFE for Year 9, and felt that they received lots of information to help them make their subject selections. We were very proud of the way they responded and conducted themselves on the day!

Year 9s are having conversations about VET and VCE subjects for 2025. Darcy McCallum is eager to discuss options and ideas with students to help them make informed decisions to have a positive Year 10.

Book Week

Book Week is well under-way in the Secondary School with Kim Sprake at the helm of organisation and the display out the front of the staffroom. She has done such a splendid job, with the support of some enthusiastic Year 7's, of creating a wondrous display that captures the essence of their year's Book Week theme; 'Reading is Magic'. A reminder that the Book Week parade is on THIS FRIDAY! Make sure you all have your fantastic costumes ready to show off and contribute to the celebration of literature.

Thank you so much to Kim and the helpful Year 7s that made this creative display happen!
