This week we made spaghetti with kale, leeks, and ricotta and served it with focaccia. The Cracking Carrots made pasta sauce, the Go Bananas! made pasta, and the Chunky Avocados made focaccia. We made two types of focaccias; rosemary and sea salt as well as tomato and basil and both were a great success. We had Mr Daff, Mrs Fitz and Miss Rees come over and enjoy the meal with us.
This week the 'Go Bananas!' made Carrot Muffins with garlic butter. The Cracking Carrots made fettuccini, and the Chunky Avocados made tomato and garlic sauce to serve with the pasta. The menu was a hit! There was nothing left on anyone's plate! It was fantastic to hear one student say 'I didn't like tomatoes until we made pizzas a few weeks ago!' This is what SAKG is all about- experiencing different foods they may not usually eat.
