SCHOOL REVIEW - INVITATION

We are currently undergoing a school review. All Government schools undertake a school review every four years to determine how well they are meeting the needs of their students and community and see how they have tracked against set goals and key improvement strategies. Fieldwork is undertaken to assist us in developing our new strategic plan and set goals for the next four years. The review panel is made up of a combination of school staff, department of education staff, an independent school reviewer and the school council president.  However, there are opportunities for staff, students and parents to participate in the review also.

Part of the fieldwork undertaken by panel members is running separate staff, student and parent forums. This is an important element of finding out how our current programs, culture and environment are catering to our students.

Two parent forums will be held in the next two weeks: Thursday 29th August at 8.45am, and Friday 6th September at 8.45am, held in the PAC. This is an open invitation for any parent who would be willing to come along and answer some questions for the panel about our school. School staff will not be present during the forums, they will be facilitated by the non-staff members of the panel.  I will send a reminder out via Compass about these two forums. Please consider coming along if you have the time. Alternatively, if you cannot make it to one of the forums, the Parent/Carer Opinion Survey is another way you can provide a voice to shaping our future improvement initiatives.
