On Friday the 15th of May, 15 of our 5/6 students went to soccer Inter School sports. They arrived at Gillon Oval at 9:15, they were previously informed that they were going to play at Clifton Park in group B but just before they were about to start they were moved to group A.

In the first round of the comp Insieme United had a bye, they supported one of the teams playing even though they suffered a bad loss. In the second round, the boys in the pink played BEPS and were victorious 2-1. All the group stage matches were straight 20 minutes.

In the second match, we played the team the team who ended up winning the whole tournament: Our Ladies help of Christian . The Pink Unicorns didn’t get off to the best start. At kick off, right off the bat, Our Ladies help of Christian’s star player skilled all our played and scored. But Insieme United didn’t give up, even though they ended up scoring again, our team didn’t give, scoring and taking control of the game. Even they didn’t win they didn't get down they then moved on to the next game with a great spirit.

There were two more games in the group stage and Insieme United won both of them, the first one 2-0 against Deutsce Schule Melbourne. The second against Brunswick North West primary school 2-1. By winning this many matches we came second in our group and move onto the Semifinals.

We came second in our group so that meant we play st Joseph’s primary school. they started of with a goal from kick of but we did not give up that easily. Rhys came back with a banger!!! and then Ted gave us another to put us ahead 2-1,it stayed like that for a while and then they got a free kick just out side of the box and sadly scored.So it went to a penalty shootout.

Ted scored first and then Tom made a cracking save to make it 1-0,then Gabe scored next and then the player missed,and then George sadly missed his penalty and the they scored and then the goal keeper Tom scored his penalty and then saved it to win 3-1. we made it to the final!!!

In the final Ted put us in the lead 1-0. it stayed like this for a bit, until the 15th minute they scored harder. But BSPS did not give up we almost scored but the keeper saved it.

In the penalty shoot out, Ted took first and scored then that scored to make it 1-1. Archie was up next but sadly hit it over the bar then they scored to make it 2-1 then Rhys sadly missed his penalty, the they scored making it 3-1. Even though our BSPS team lost this they copped it by the chin and they are training hard for the Bilingual World Cup. And don’t worry the pink unicorn will be victourious!!!!
