From the Principal
Dear Parents,
As Term 1 draws to a close, we have much to celebrate. Over the past fortnight I had the joy of meeting with more than thirty families at our parent–teacher interviews. Many shared their thankfulness for a smooth start to the year and their appreciation for being part of a community where they are seen, welcomed, and genuinely cared for. Across the term we’ve witnessed steady growth in student learning, friendships forming, and maturity developing.
As the Easter weekend approaches, I’m looking forward to the long weekend and the chance it brings to rest—not only with my family, but in God’s word. The Bible remains the most influential book in human history, and at its centre stands a claim that has shaped the world: “He is not here; he has risen” (Luke 24:6). This is the heartbeat of the Christian faith. I encourage you this Easter to pause and consider the significance of this declaration. If Jesus truly died and rose again, what does that mean for your life, your hope, and your future?
If you’re unsure about Christianity’s truth claims, Chris Morphew’s short book How Do We Know Christianity Is Really True? offers a clear and accessible explanation of why many find the evidence compelling.
As your family steps into the break, I encourage you to enjoy the rest, the time together, and the hope Easter offers. If you don’t have a church community—or if it’s simply been a while—Easter is a wonderful moment to reconnect. Local churches across our region will be holding Good Friday and Easter Sunday services, and you would be warmly welcomed.
May this Easter fill your home with peace, joy, and a renewed sense of God’s goodness.
CEN’s 60th Anniversary
This year marks a significant milestone for Christian Education National as we celebrate 60 years of Christ‑centred schooling in Australia. For six decades, CEN has championed a vision of education that is biblically authentic and deeply relational—an approach shaped by strong partnerships between parents, church, and school, where the gospel—not cultural pressures—forms the way we think, teach, and live.
As part of this anniversary year, CEN has released a new book, All Things Education: The Story of Reformational Schooling in Australia, which traces the history of our schools and the faithful work of parents, teachers, and communities who helped shape Christian schooling across the nation. It offers an inspiring reflection on the legacy we inherit and the mission we continue to share.
We are grateful to stand within this wider story and look forward with hope and prayer to the next season of growth, service, and gospel‑shaped education across the nation.
