This Week's Learning Bulletin:
Meet the team Presentations
In this week's bulletin you will enjoy viewing short videos, designed to enable our families feel informed, connected, and confident about the school year ahead. Each video introduces your child's year-level staff, outlines the key routines and programs, and explains the main learning focus for students.
Families will:
- Meet the teachers who work with your child
- Learn about the most important routines and programs for the year level
- See visual examples that help clarify expectations and daily practices
Understand the overall learning goal for the year and how it aligns with the school’s approach to teaching and learning
The videos are intentionally brief and focused, highlighting only the most essential information so families can quickly understand what to expect and how to stay engaged throughout the year.
These videos intentionally do not provide in-depth information about key learning areas such as how and what we teach in Reading, Writing, Spelling, and Maths. More detailed information about these areas is available on our school website.
Next week’s newsletter will feature specialist videos from our teachers, giving parents and carers an insight into the learning happening in Italian, Library, The Arts, and Physical Education. Each teacher will provide a brief overview of the skills and content your child’s year level will be focusing on throughout Semester 1, offering a glimpse into the exciting experiences and learning opportunities ahead.
Family Conferences will be held in late March and will provide families with the opportunity to gain deeper insight into their child’s learning. During these meetings, teachers will share your child’s areas of strength as well as the next steps that will support their continued growth. These conversations are an important time to ask questions and work together to support your child. As a reminder, teachers are not available via WhatsApp, so if you have specific information to share or questions you would like answered, please contact your child’s classroom teacher directly through the school’s usual communication channels.
