Year 7 Transition

The Year 7 team would like to congratulate the whole Year 7 cohort for their fantastic transition into Norwood! 

During their first two days of high school our Year 7 students participated in the Norwood Transition Program, which is designed to help students understand the routines and expectations of high school and settle into life at Norwood. Each mentor group worked together to get to know each other and their mentor teacher, organised materials and lockers, deciphered timetables, navigated new laptops, brainstormed time management and homework strategies, and explored the College library and the instrumental music program. 

Scheduled classes began on Friday 30 January, with students meeting their subject teachers and starting to explore different curriculum areas. Classes are now settling into their routines and working hard to demonstrate the College values of Respect, Aspiration, Responsibility and Resilience. 

Well done to all Year 7 students for such a positive start to the year, and we look forward to working with our Year 7 community to support each student for a successful year ahead.
