Welcome back to the Library. The year has started really well and the Year 7’s have really been enjoying getting to know the library. Along with our usual line-up of clubs, there are plans under way for some new ones as well. Watch this space as more information will be shared here.
The Clubs that currently operate during lunchtimes in the library are:

Lego Club: meets every Tuesday. All students are welcome to come and build something for our display box in the library or just for your own pleasure. There is a weekly challenge to give you a place to start or you can let your imagination run wild and build freestyle.
Craft Club: meets every Wednesday and is supervised by Ms Walmsley. There have been quite a few craft projects over the last few years for students to try their hand. We’re starting this year with beaded bracelets. Again all students are welcome, we’d love to see them there.
Chess Club: meets every Thursday. If you’re looking to play chess, this is the place for you. All are welcome.

Library Lovers: Each year in February we celebrate Library Lovers Week. For two weeks you’ll find on display a selection of library books wrapped in brown paper with the genre and an age recommendation on the front. Students choose a book, borrow it from the library, unwrap it and read it, returning it when they are finished and choose another one if they wish. The response has already been fantastic. If you haven’t already, come to the library before school, at recess and lunch or after school to choose a lucky dip book to read.
