Farewell and Good Luck

Karen Anderson

Originally the Acting Principal role was for one term, Term 2, and then grew to three!

It has been an honour to have the opportunity to work with and for your young people.

The composition of the Principal Class team will be confirmed at the beginning of next year.

In 2026 I’m teaching Cert ll Building & Construction at St Helena Secondary College next year.

So far my time at PLSC has been very enjoyable, certainly been a good way to begin my teaching journey being at a smaller sized school. Made some good relationships with a few staff members and will certainly miss being around them every day. Shout out to Ramsay Street.

Been good fun teaching the Sport & Rec students in the past couple of years.

After 3 wonderful years at PLSC, I am moving on to a new adventure at another school. I want to express my gratitude to my colleagues and the wider school community for your unwavering support and friendship during my time here. While it is hard to say goodbye, I leave with a heart full of memories. It has been a pleasure to witness students’ growth—not just in their studies, but in their character and kindness. I wish the entire school community continued success and happiness in the years ahead.

I would like to say a huge thank you to the entire Peter Lalor community for welcoming me and making me feel so at home during my time here. It has been a privilege to work alongside such talented and wonderful colleagues, and I have learnt so much from each of you — you will be greatly missed. I would also like to thank the students at PLSC for always making me laugh and for their kindness and honesty. I have no doubt you will go on to do amazing things. Next year, I will be undertaking a new role as an Art Therapist in a small primary school in Frankston.
