Principal Update

Thursday 20th March
We have two more weeks of school to go. We have a few things coming up in the weeks ahead so please ensure you know what is happening.
Tomorrow is Harmony Day - students can wear free dress tomorrow with a splash of orange
Students this week have been acknowledging Harmony Week. This is the celebration that recognises our diversity and brings together Australians from all different backgrounds. It’s about inclusiveness, respect and a sense of belonging for everyone. The 2025 theme is ‘we all have a role to play!’
Tomorrow is also National Ride2School Day. We know it is a challenge for most of our students to ride to school but we do have some regulars that tackle the hills and ride each day.
School/community involvement
As you know we are always wanting to attract new enrolments and welcome new families to the MCPS community. Our free Messy Playgroup for children aged 1 - 5 years (all children are welcome, but activities will focus on this age group) is an opportunity for families to come and enjoy a chat, while the messy activities are taken care of by Kate W and Jacinta. It was great to see this highlighted in the local paper.
This Playgroup will run every Thursday of the school term, from 9:30 - 10:30.
Our next open morning, from 9:30 - 10:30, will be on Wednesday 26 March. Where we will invite hopefully new and existing families to come along and see the school in action. You may have seen this advertised in the local paper and through Facebook.
Congratulations….again!
