AFL 9s Girls Round Robin
On Friday 7th March, 22 students from Grade 5 and 6 attended the Ivanhoe District AFL 9s Girls Round Robin. All girls participated with great enthusiasm and showcased various skills such as kicking, handballing and marking. The most pleasing aspect of the day was the ability for both teams to use two learning powers throughout the day. Perseverance and Collaboration was evident when the teams needed to strategize and work together to play a relatively new format of AFL. Both teams, Blue and White, qualified for the semi finals with the Blue going on to compete against St Anthony’s in the Grand Final. The blue team were eventual champions of the round robin, winning 37 to 6.

These students will now move on to the Banyule and Inner North Moreland Division Championships on Thursday 13th March.
