Connect Crew Kicks Off

We are excited to announce that Connect Crew is back! Our program now operates in a fantastic new space, providing students with a welcoming and well-equipped environment to learn, collaborate, and grow. The additional space which is situated in K block has already had a positive impact, allowing students to engage more fully in their learning and social-emotional development.

Over the past fortnight, students in Connect have participated in Introduction Week where they have been actively involved in setting expectations, establishing personal and group goals, and engaging in team-building activities. These educational experiences help to foster a strong sense of community and shared responsibility, ensuring that all students feel valued and supported.

In addition to our classroom work, students have been involved in revitalising the garden beds outside the new Connect room. This project has already made a significant difference to the outdoor space, creating a more inviting and calming environment for everyone to enjoy. It has also provided students with an opportunity to engage in hands-on learning, teamwork, and environmental awareness.

We are also pleased to introduce our new Student Voice Writer, Eloise Rogers, who will be contributing to the newsletter each fortnight. Although new to the Connect program, Eloise has already demonstrated strong leadership qualities and a commitment to fostering a positive and inclusive community. We look forward to sharing her insights and experiences in the weeks ahead.

Additionally, we are excited to announce that Connect is launching a can and bottle collection through Envirobank. All funds raised will go directly towards upcoming Connect projects, helping to support student-led initiatives and enhance our program. We encourage students, families, and staff to get involved and contribute to this sustainable and meaningful initiative.

We appreciate the continued support from students, families, and staff as we embark on another exciting year in the Connect Crew.
