Middle School

Scholarship Students
On Thursday 6 March, our Year 7 cohort came together to recognise our 2025 Scholarship students. The Year 7s were joined by many of the parents of the Scholarship students who were in attendance to mark this fantastic achievement. Congratulations to the following students:
Humanities & English Scholarship: Sshyna Malvyia
Languages Scholarship: Cooper Fennell
Visual Arts Scholarship: Alice Quach
Community Scholarships: Bailey Holdsworth, Harrison Ashley, Lachlan Bloomfield & Isabelle Kos
Maths & Science Scholarships: Richard Feng & Harvey Cloak
Performing Arts ScholarshipS: Cruze Marsh & Caitlin Briers
Sport Scholarship Awards: Aidan Griffin & Leonid Nacevski
Scholarship students play a significant role at Wantirna College. They are required to take an active role in all aspects of the school community, working closely with relevant teachers and school leaders to promote academic excellence and fulfil responsibilities relevant to their area.
All scholarship students consistently demonstrate the College’s values of respect and challenge. This means being positive role models in both behaviour and learning while actively participating in co-curricular activities relevant to their scholarship.
We congratulate our 2025 Scholarship students and look forward to watching them represent the College with pride throughout the year.

Year 7 Captains
The Middle School Team are excited to announce the Year 7 Captains for 2025! Please join us in congratulating Juliette Leitch (7H) and Leonid Nacevski (7H).
Juliette and Leo are passionate about enhancing the student experience at Wantirna College and are eager to support their peers. Juliette and Leo will work closely with Miss M & Mr Collings to run initiatives and events for year 7 students. They will also be responsible for representing the views, ideas and concerns shared by year 7 students at Student Representative Council (SRC) Meetings.
We are also pleased to share that we have many aspiring leaders within the year 7 cohort. There was a very competitive pool of applicants, all of which were enthusiastic about fostering and positive and inclusive school environment. We encourage all unsuccessful applicants, as well as any other aspiring leaders who may not have applied, to join the SRC. The SRC is a fantastic opportunity to collaborate with other students and student leaders.
