P.E.

Students at Oatlands have started 2025 with a bang in PE! We had 21 students represent our School in the Edwin Flack District Swimming Trials on February 26th, competing against 6 other schools. Our students won every relay race and placed 1st or 2nd in most individual events. This resulted in Oatlands winning the entire event and all 21 students qualifying for the Casey North Division Swimming Carnival. Congratulations to the following students, Caia 4SY, Isla 4BT, Mila 4AM, Ellie 4SY, Nathan 4AM, Peter 4OW, Alvin 4BT, Aron 4OW, Sia 5AM, Hayley 5MD, Amber 5MD, Amy 5AM, Damon 5LK, Sanuje 5MD, Frederick 5MD, Simon 5AM, David 6RF, Esan 6AW, Sebastian 6JR, Samim 6RF and Claire 6NH.
Our swimmers performed exceptionally well at Division, with our boys open age Medley relay coming first, our 10 year old boys and girls freestyle relays coming first, our 11 year old girls and boys freestyle relays coming second and our 12/13 year old boys freestyle relay also coming first. Our swimmers placed in every individual event they were entered in, and we couldn't be prouder of their amazing efforts! The following 13 students will now represent Oatlands at the Regional Swimming Championships in Rosebud on April 2nd, Caia 4SY, Isla 4BT, Mila 4AM, Ellie 4SY, Nathan 4AM, Peter 4OW, Alvin 4BT, Aron 4OW, David 6RF, Esan 6AW, Sebastian 6JR, Samin 6RF and Damon 6NH.
Our year 3, 4, 5 and 6 students are getting excited to represent their House in the Oatlands House Cross Country event, which is taking place on Thursday April 3rd. Students in year 3 will run 1km, years 4 and 5 run 2km and year 6 students run 3km around the track behind the school. Every student that runs will earn points for their House. We encourage students to dress in their House colours and cheer for those students participating.
Parents are welcome to come and watch.
