Principal's Report

 

Class of 2023 VCE Results:

I would like to begin this last newsletter of 2023 by congratulating the Year 12 class on their excellent results. 100% of the students successfully gained their VCE certificate with the average ATAR score going up by 3.4 points.  I wish all members of the Class of 2023 the best in gaining entry into their chosen pathway. 

 

Congratulations to Catarina Nguyen on receiving a Super Speak Achievement Award.

 

This award is presented to students who have completed 2.5 years of Public Speaking & Communication Skills training at Super Speak (equivalent to 100 hours) and presented 15 formal solo speeches.

 

 

Staff Acknowledgements and Farewells:

On behalf of the Macleod College Community I would like to thank all the staff both teaching and non-teaching for all that they have done to support our students this year. I congratulate them all for the academic success achieved and for the exceptional level of wellbeing support provided to each student.

 

As is the case at this time of the year we farewell a number a staff. I would like to acknowledge the following staff who will be leaving us: Annette Eldridge (Cello) and Melissa Lewis (Primary). I thank them for the work and contribution they have made to the education of our young people and wish them all the very best for their future endeavours.

 

In addition, Karen Egan will be on leave for the year and I wish her all the best during her extended break:

I take this opportunity to thank you, the Macleod College Community, for your ongoing support throughout this year. In particular I would like to thank the College Council under the leadership of Mr Mark Lipman and all the other volunteers whose work is so valuable and appreciated.
