NEWS & ADMINISTRATION

Mrs Caroline Galea

Dear Parents,

Welcome to 2024.  Our children have started 2024 in a calm manner and it is wonderful to see their enthusiasm and smiles as they go about the corridors each day.

Canteen

Tomorrow, Friday 9th February our Canteen will once again resume for both hot food and over the counter sales. This year, food will be prepared on site and is able to be ordered only through schools24.  Please go to schools24 and change your child's class prior to ordering their lunch for the first time.   (See instructions below)

The Canteen will be open two days a week - Tuesday & Friday.

Please note that in order to keep food warm it is highly recommended that children use the Holy Name insulated lunch bags. These are available from the school office for $10.

Children will be able to purchase icypoles and icecreams over the counter.

We are also seeking parent helpers (you must have a current working with children check registered with the office) to help out at the Canteen.  Please ring or email Leanne with your details.

Uniform

Thank you to all of our families that have ensured that their children are coming to school in the correct uniform. Please ensure that if your child does not have sport, they are wearing the correct school uniform and school shoes. Children should not be wearing runners as part of their everyday footwear.

The school office sells legionnaire style hats ($13) and school issue replacement sunglasses ($15).  We ask that you please check that your child's sunglasses are not scratched or broken.

Also, we want to make sure that we can return clothing items to your child, so we need all items to be named or renamed.

Book Club

The first issue of Scholastic Book Club has been sent home with your child. There is no obligation to buy anything, however if you would like to purchase an item you can do this either by jumping online or by sending the money (and order form) to the office.

The closing date to order for this issue is 3:20pm on Monday 12th February.

2024 Fees

Fee Statements were emailed out today.  You can pay by cash, eftpos, credit card in person or by phone, Bpay or you can set up a Direct Debit (see Leanne in the office for a DD form).  If you have any queries about your statement, ring the office.

If you have a health care / pension card, and wish to apply for CSEF (Camp, Sport & Excursions Fund) and/or apply for 2024 concessional fees, please see Leanne or Vivien (Bursar) as soon as possible.

Come and See My Classroom

On Monday 12th February we will be hosting our "Come and see my classroom" starting at 2:20pm. This is an opportunity for parents to come along to the school and visit their child in the classroom.  You are invited to come to the staffroom first to grab a cuppa and light snack.

Gates

As you have probably noticed, just prior to the children starting school, we had our school fence replaced. Some of the gate measurements were not quite right and will be replaced (hopefully by the end of the week).

Please note that the gates will be opened at 8:30 am. It is advisable that your children do not arrive earlier than this as there is no one out there to supervise prior to this time.

Car Show

Just letting you know that plans are underway for our Car Show. Please note the change of date and time. The car show will now take place on Saturday 16th March between 3-7pm.

Thank you to our major sponsor My Agent Real Estate.
