Help us support High School Musical
As part of the forthcoming production of High School Musical in May, we will run an online silent auction to help offset some of the costs and keep ticket prices to a minimum.
We are looking for products and services to include as an auction item. Some thought starters:
- A weekend away at a holiday home (these do very well!)
- Any sort of electronic device
- Experiences, including dining, adventure, cultural, physical
- Hampers: pamper, chocolate, baby, garden, baked goods
- Toys
Please contact Camilla Fiorini, Director of Marketing, via fiorinic@kilvington.vic.edu.au or 9578 6231 to have a chat about your ideas on supporting our brilliant cast and crew.

Staff achievement - Australian athletics record
Congratulations to Kilvington Health and PE teacher, Anna Kasapis, who recently broke the Australian record 45+ in the 1000m at an athletics meet called the Box Hill Burn.
She was running in the Open Women’s elite 'A' race in which she placed 8th. Her time of 3:00.40 is the fastest ever run by an Australian female runner in the age category 45-49 years. Well done Anna!
Camps, sports and excursions fund (CSEF)
CSEF is provided by the Victorian Government to assist eligible families to cover the costs of school trips, camps and sporting activities. If you hold a valid means-tested concession card or are a temporary foster parent, you may be eligible for CSEF (see attached flyer).
Families who received this funding last year don’t need to reapply as they automatically continue to receive it in 2024. For more information, please contact Belinda Collins via collinsb@kilvington.vic.edu.au.

CULTURAL DIVERSITY
Inclusion is about more than just words; it's about fostering a sense of belonging and acceptance for every child, regardless of their cultural background. When children and adolescents feel seen and valued for who they are, they can thrive academically, socially, and emotionally.
In this edition of SchoolTV, learn how best to embrace and celebrate cultural diversity with your children. Here is the link to your cultural diversity edition.
CELEBRATING HARMONY WEEK
Continuing on with the theme of cultural diversity, Harmony Week is celebration held annually in March across Australia. It’s aimed at promoting diversity, respect and inclusiveness.
This event is an excellent opportunity for parents to teach their children about different cultures, traditions and customs.
