Representing Australia in the International Judo Federation

Congratulations to Max Pogreb, Year 10, who has been selected to represent Australia in the International Judo Federation (IJF) European Cups.

This includes the Cadet European Cups and International Training Camps from 6 to 11 April in Teplice, Czech Republic, and 13 to 16 April in Berlin, Germany.

This marks Max's third selection to represent his country at the international level.

In the previous year, Max participated in the competition held in Budapest but did not secure a podium finish. However, in July, during the competition in Macau, Max achieved success by clinching the Bronze Medal for Australia.

Both European competitions this year will pose a challenge for Max as they will feature top players from around the world (over 550 competitors from across 29 counties). Nevertheless, Max is prepared to face this higher level of competition.

Max's journey to Europe will commence on 31 March, and he is scheduled to return on 19 April. This trip signifies a significant opportunity for Max to showcase his skills on the international stage once again.

All the best for the competitions Max. We are cheering for you!
