Welcome Back

Welcome to our 2024 school year! We hope everyone was able to have a relaxing and enjoyable break over Christmas and the New Year. We are very happy with the way we have started Term One; whilst I’m sure there were some tired students and staff at the end of the week, we finished off with a very positive ‘vibe’.

We began last week with a professional learning day for staff. Renowned guest speaker, Nairn Walker, provided us with learning and insights into better understanding ‘student capacity’ and how we can provide further support to students and work closely with their families. It was a very enlightening day, with a great deal of positive feedback.

We also held formal assemblies to welcome our students back. We spoke about our school values, with a focus on ‘High Expectations’. We challenged all students and staff to ‘set the bar high’ and work towards being the ‘best versions of ourselves’. We covered a range of topics, such as: Showing up – ready to learn (this includes being in full school uniform), pushing through challenges, engaging with our learning and each other, working hard, being good people, and seizing opportunities. We wish everyone a very successful year!

Be yourself but be your best self!
