Meet our new Staff!

My name is Jason Kumar and I am thrilled to be teaching in the 5/6 level this year.I feel very blessed to be welcomed so warmly into St John Vianney’s community. The students and staff have been incredible! As an educator, I have genuine passion, energy and enthusiasm for learning and teaching. I consider it to be a privilege to be in a position to nurture a spirit of inquiry and creativity within students. I have worked as a classroom teacher for over a decade (Don Bosco, Narre Warren and Holy Trinity, Wantirna South) and still find everyday exciting and rewarding. Outside of school, I love getting out and about with my wife and two young boys, eating good food and completing DIY projects around the home. Please feel free to drop by 5/6J anytime to visit our classroom and to say hello!

Hi SJV community, my name is Allison Weerappah (Miss W). It’s a privilege to join your wonderful school. I will be teaching 1/2W this year and have loved getting to spend time with the beautiful students already. I am excited to be able to work within this welcoming and supportive community with the children, parents and staff to help students achieve their best learning and growth.

I have previously taught Prep and Year 1 for 8 years at St Mary’s in Hampton where I had also been Junior School Leader and Learning Diversity Leader. Outside of school I love to spend time with my family and friends and enjoy any opportunity to travel. I like baking and sewing and go for the Saints!

I’m looking forward to getting to work with you all across the year. Please come over and say hello if you see me around. Wishing you all a wonderful start to 2024!

Greetings! I'm Mrs Dowley, and am delighted to be part of this wonderful community. Before venturing into the world of teaching, my journey began in photography, a passion I still enjoy. I'm a creative soul, dabbling in various crafts over the years. Another love of mine is reading, there’s nothing like being absorbed into the world of a great book.

Music has a special place in my heart, and I believe it has the power to connect people on a profound level. New challenges inspire me, and I love sharing adventures with my 7 and 5-year-old. Teaching has been a significant part of my journey, and I have enjoyed working in various subjects over the years. Performing Arts is a relatively recent adventure for me, and I am thoroughly enjoying the exploration of this dynamic field. I look forward to sharing my passion and experiences with all of you at St. John Vianney's.

Lastly, I must confess my love for a good cup of tea shared with friends – there's something truly magical about the conversations that unfold over a warm cuppa. I'm excited to connect, create, and embark on this enriching journey with you!

Warm regards,

Carlie Dowley

Hi everyone,

My name is Lauren Cameron and I am very excited to be joining the SJV community as an LSO this year! I have most recently worked as an LSO at St Mary Magdalen’s in Chadstone, and am in the final year of my primary teaching degree.

I have a passion for music and musical theatre, and have even been lucky enough to perform in a couple of community theatre productions. I’m really looking forward to helping out with the SJV choir this year. I also love sport, following Richmond in the footy and the Vancouver Canucks in my second favourite sport, ice hockey!

I am thrilled to be a part of the SJV community, and have already been made to feel so welcome, I'm really looking forward to the year ahead.

________

My name is Viv Zammit. I am an LSO who has recently joined the SJV team.

On the weekend I love going on adventure walks with my family, especially exploring country trails.

And although I am not a huge footy fan, I do like it when my Collingwood wins.

Go Pies!!!

Hi im Ella Tremonti , currently finishing off my Bachelor of Education (Primary) at ACU and the kids know me as Miss Ella already as I completed my third year placement here with Nicole O'Halloran last term but am now here as a full-time LSO for SJV!

I grew up in Albury NSW and moved to Melbourne in 2018 to follow my big dreams. I fell in love with the idea of working with kids. I look forward to spending the rest of the year here in this beautiful community and can't wait to see what it brings!

Come and say Hello if you see me in the school yard.

Hi all,

My name is Ida Marigliano and I've been privileged to teach for over 30 years in Catholic schools. I am excited to be part of the SJV community and have already felt the welcoming spirit of this lovely community. I have taught in a variety of settings and had a few different roles across the school in different curriculum areas. I've taught from Foundation to Year 6 and have also been lucky enough to work in Specialist areas. These  included Italian, Library, Digi Tech and Art. I look forward to meeting and getting to know you all, as I become part of the SJV school team. My favourite pastimes are traveling to far off places and getting down to the beach for long walks.
