Dear Families,

Where did those school holidays go?! Welcome back all of our lovely families and a very big welcome to all of our new families joining us in 2024. Over the next few weeks through the newsletter we will introduce you all to the 2024 PT&F committee, but for now here are just a few reminders to get the year started!

St Joeys Quirindi Parents - Facebook page

Have you joined our parents page? We have found this to be the most efficient way to communicate with our parent community. It’s also a place where if you’re not sure about something or what’s happening, you can ask on here and someone can assist you or point you in the right direction. It is a closed page, only available to parents/grandparents/carers of Joeys. It’s also where we pop up reminders for events. 

We also recommend following the official St Joseph's School Facebook page to keep up to date.

Swimming Carnival Lunch

This year our swimming carnival will be held during the school day.  The PT&F will offer a PREORDERED meal deal lunch option.  Keep an eye out in next weeks newsletter and on the parent Facebook page for the menu options. PREORDERS ARE ESSENTIAL (you can order for your entire family/extended family/whoever is coming along to the carnival), we just need to know prior to assist with the preparation.

We would also welcome any helpers who are able to assist with either cooking prior to lunch or serving at lunch time. Send us a message on our Facebook page or let the school know if you’re able to assist in any way. 

Check the Newsletter

The weekly newsletter is sent out via COMPASS. It is the best way to stay informed about what is happening at school. It includes a parent calendar that is updated with school events Eg. Sport, Mass, special events, school photos, term dates etc. The staff generally load the newsletter full of pics and news about what the children have been achieving each week and importantly what we can do as parents/carers to support our children with their learning.  Another great feature is the Events Calendar! A quick snippet/reminder of what’s happening in the month.
