First, we would like to welcome our students back to Glen Waverley Primary School and extend a warm welcome to all new families who have joined our learning community. The Level One team looks forward to building positive and supportive relationships with you and your children. We’d also like to introduce Mrs Reeves, 1B and Mr Rowland, 1E, to the team. We look forward to supporting your children embrace and accomplish new learning challenges every day. Our passion is to deliver deep and valuable learning experiences throughout the year. The learners have transitioned seamlessly into Level One and are excited to continue their learning journey.

Mrs Kimielle Vecchio (1A, Teaching and Learning Leader)
My name is Kimielle, but you are welcome to call me Kimi. I look forward to getting to know all the Year One students and their families. You might know also me as Ms D’Mello, as I got married last year and changed my name! I have a passion for singing, and you will often hear me singing instructions to my students. Please say hello if you walk by and introduce yourself! I look forward to meeting you all.
Mrs Jessica Reeves (1B, Assistant Teaching and Learning Leader)

Education has always been a passion and I’m so lucky to be working in a community that has such a love for learning. I look forward to connecting with our Year One students and families this year.
Miss Lucy Luo (1D)

Mr Alex Rowland (1E)
My name is Alex. This is my first year of teaching, and I am very fortunate to begin my teaching journey with the wonderful community at Glen Waverley Primary School. In my spare time I enjoy playing basketball or spending time with my wife and my six-month-old son, Edward. I am looking forward to getting to know the learners in my class, and in all of Year 1!
In Level One, Seesaw is used with a focus on sharing home learning with the parent community. In addition to the hard copies of home learning sent home each Friday, you will also find a digital copy on Seesaw. In addition, classroom teachers will add specific anchor charts to Seesaw that will provide an insight into the learning conducted and vocabulary used in the classroom, as well as supporting your child to complete their home learning tasks. Your child will have received a QR code from their classroom teacher, enabling you to connect to their profile. Please see your child’s classroom teacher should you have any further questions about this.
