Wynspeak

For the fourth consecutive year, Tarneit Senior College is participating in the Wyndham Youth Public Speaking Competition, also known as WynSpeak, where students from the Western Suburbs came together to showcase their public speaking and speech-writing skills.

This year, we have had seven students volunteer to represent our school in Wynspeak 2024, the largest number of student entries in our school’s history; a great testament to how our school is growing as a part of our local community. Last week, our seven students competed in the school heats to become one of two representatives to move up to the next stage of the competition and compete against students from other schools in the Western Suburbs.

We would like to congratulate Lam Huynh and Sobiya Fatima on winning the heats and becoming our schools representatives for the inter-school competition – they both delivered outstanding performances characterized by well-researched, passionate and charismatic presentations.

We would also like to congratulate Noa Khan, Abdul Ali, Hanadi Said, Simarpreet Sangha and Siya Garg for their participation in this year’s competition - it was a close competition and all of the students demonstrated a phenomenal commitment to representing the school values of integrity, innovation and focus by delivering truly amazing examples of public speaking and by volunteering to represent our school in the local community.
