Intermediate Boys/Girls Volleyball

The Intermediate Boys and Girls Volleyball teams traveled to Eagle Stadium to test themselves against their fellow Wyndham school competitors. The Intermediate Girls had a very successful day, winning two out of three games in their initial pool games. After dropping the first match, the girl's team rallied and achieved two wins in a row to make it to a 5th place playoff, ultimately falling short in a hard-fought game led by coach Nora.

Our Intermediate boys had similar success, achieving 5th place after winning two pool games and losing their first game. Coach Saint rotated a range of players throughout the team, using the strengths of players in different ways to create successful strategies which led to an 8-point comeback against the newest rivals, Bemin Secondary College, and led to a happy bus ride home.

The players now have this year to work on their volleyball skills, so they can represent the College in 2025!

Our fantastic sportswomen and athletes in the making demonstrated admirable teamwork and skills in the volleyball interschool sports competition run at Eagle Stadium. The girls gave the other schools a good run for their money, Our year tens, won 2 sets against Suzanne Corey, and lost one to Bemin, coming second in our pool. A big thank you to Nora from year 11, who coached our girls and was on the sideline the whole time, what a champ!  Well done girls so proud of your conduct and sportsmanship! A little stop at 7/11 to celebrate the positive vibes and hot summer day!
