It's all about Numbers in 3/4 Wealth

Students in 3/4W have been working on their place value of 3 and 4 digit numbers. We have been exploring a variety of numbers in standard and non-standard form using expanded notation. We used MAB blocks to make the numbers in standard form, noting what we saw, and then traded either a hundred or ten to make the number in non-standard form. 

This new learning helps students become flexible with numbers, helping with a variety of strategies for problem-solving in addition, subtraction, multiplication and division.
