Year 1 Update

Upcoming Learning - Weeks 8 & 9

Subject	Learning Focus
Reading	Students will be engaging in literacy activities using the Little Learners Love Literacy program.
Writing	Students will be participating in hands-on activities, then writing the procedure they followed to complete the activity. They will be developing their letter formation during their handwriting session.
Maths	Students will be exploring place value, looking at the digits in numbers, using place value to learn about ones, tens, hundreds and thousands.
Inquiry	Students will be learning about Australian Aboriginal culture, by participating in traditional Indigenous games, and exploring Bunjil- the place, the bird, and its significance in Aboriginal History.
SEL	Students will be focusing on RESPECT, using our learning spaces correctly, recognising and responding to our feelings, and engaging with Harmony Day activities.
