Meet our Student Leaders for 2024

Student Leaders:

Francesca

Hi my name is Francesca and I am one of the Student Leaders for 2024.

My hopes for this year are to make sure that everyone has a voice and can help out as much as possible. I am very excited to be one of the Leaders this year and I can't wait to start.

I love getting involved in all different experiences and activities.

I’m also very trustworthy and reliable and I enjoy working with other students which is one of the reasons why I am so excited to be a part of the team.

I am so happy to have been given the opportunity to work with the other leaders and know that we will have fun working together.

I look forward to seeing what the CCK leadership team can achieve in 2024.

Elwood

Hello my name is Elwood and I am super excited to announce that I have been appointed to

the role of School Leader for 2024. I am very grateful for the opportunity to be in a leadership role.

I am looking forward to being part of a team that will come up with new ideas and great things for the school to take part in. Some of my strengths are: I listen to everyone's ideas, love working as a team, I'm very inclusive and my parents always tell me that I am very determined and always get the job done.

Lastly, I would like to take this opportunity to congratulate everybody who applied for one of the leadership roles. They all did an incredible job. It's a very difficult and challenging thing to apply and it takes great confidence to present your speech.

Social Justice Leaders:

Mila

Hi my name is Mila and I am a Social Justice Leader for 2024. I am very passionate about this and very grateful for getting this role. Something about me is I love working with anyone and everyone. I always help people when they need it and always offer to help.

I have been a senior 'buddy' to the Preps for 2 years now and I love it. I love to play sports and be active. I love working as a team and building stamina. I can't wait to work with lots of people this year and have an awesome last year of primary school.

George

My name is George and I am the Social Justice Leader at Corpus Christi School for 2024. For those who don’t know about me, let me take this time to tell you a little about myself. My favorite thing to do is Art , in particular, drawing, painting and a type of animation called stop-motion.

I also like playing acoustic guitar. I have been doing it for 4 years and recently performed a song I wrote at my music concert. And finally, I also play two sports: Boxing and Tennis which I do to exercise and improve my fitness.

I am very excited to be a Social Justice Leader as I will get to participate in SRC meetings. I plan to participate in fundraisers and raising money for the school and good causes. I also plan to listen and help students to have a voice and make sure we have a good experience, and most of all, stay safe.

But to be honest, my favourite thing I look forward to, is helping the younger students to reach their full potential by being a good role model and providing advice when they need it.

Sports Leaders:

Tia

I am Tia Williams and I am a sports leader for 2024. I am always trying my best to make sure everyone has a good time at Corpus Christi. I play several sports such as Netball, Lacrosse and Aikido and I spend most of my lunch time playing soccer.

I am the youngest out of two kids. I love spending my time with diverse groups of people and making new friends. I am very proud to be the sports leader and I hope to get to know you and your children more this year.

Luke

Hi, my name is Luke.

I am a part of the Year 5/6 community and I am the 2024 elected Sports Leader for Corpus Christi.

As a Sports Leader, I hope to help other students find passion in sports and encourage them to participate in team activities. I am a part of two competitive sports outside of school (Cricket and Basketball) and the best part is working together as a team.

I look forward to working with Tia to continue creating a positive sporting environment.

Our Student Leaders were presented to the school community at Monday's school Assembly.

We wish our children well and know they will represent our school with pride.

Big Day Out

In the lead-up to Catholic Education Week, we will be celebrating our Big Day Out: Combined Schools Celebration next Wednesday 6th March.

We, along with children from St Augustine's and Annunciation Primary Schools, will celebrate  Mass at St Augustine’s Church at 10:30 am followed by a sausage sizzle lunch and activities run by KELLY  SPORTS.

We will have an early snack break before departing but it is suggested children bring along some additional healthy snacks to eat when needed.

For lunch, children will receive:

  • 1 sausage in bread
  • 1 fruit drink box
  • 1 packet of plain chips

And there may even be a Zooper Dooper on the way home.

If this is not sufficient, or your child doesn't eat sausages, children are to bring additional food items.

Children are to wear their SPORTS uniform (including hat) and are to bring a small backpack containing their water bottles and snacks. Please make sure EVERYTHING is labelled.

We will depart by bus from Corpus Christi at approximately 10:00 am and return around 2:30 pm.

Please make sure you grant permission for your child to participate via the Operoo form which was sent out to families this week.

New Learning Support Officers

We welcome to the team Miss Olivia Anderson and Miss Mia Ellis as new additional Learning Support Staff.

Mia has been in this week and Olivia will commence next week so please feel free to go up and say hello. We know they will both be valuable additions to our community.

Goodluck

This Friday will be Miss Debbie's last day before she commences maternity leave. We wish Debbie and her partner Steve well as they prepare for the birth of their first child. We can't wait to meet her!
