Year 7-10 PCG Swimming Carnivals

Monday 12 + Wednesday 14 February 2024

An annual highlight for the combined Health & Physical Education and Pastoral Care calendars took place this week with the running of the Year 7 – 10 PCG Swimming Carnivals. The carnivals showcase the College’s best swimmers in preparation for the PSA Interschool event later this term and the rivalries between PCG’s continue to grow each year. Most impressive to the many parents, staff and students on hand was the fantastic example of the TC spirit on show as students challenged themselves and gave their all for their team.

The theme for each carnival focused on maximising participation and enhancing student well-being where students competed in inclusive events such as the Board Race or Pool Noodle Tow Relay as well as the traditional strokes in individual and relay races.

The top placing results for each carnival this year were as follows:

Congratulations to the successful PCG’s, and to all students for demonstrating true sportsmanship regardless of where their team placed. Special mention is deserved for PCG 10.6 who have completed the grand sweep in winning their respective carnival every year, the first time this has occurred!

Special thanks are extended to Miss Adelaide Garland for another marvellous effort in organising students for timing events and my sincere gratitude goes to the many pastoral, administrative, grounds and Physical Education staff involved for their exceptional teamwork in ensuring the carnival’s ran smoothly.

Donations to Support TC Volleyball

The TC Volleyball Committee is calling for raffle prize donations for our windup. This is a night of celebration of our volleyball club and would love your support. If your son is involved in volleyball (or you are a member of the wider TC community) and would like to contribute, please bring your donations to reception before 22 March 2024.
