Unforgettable Lunar New Year Extravaganza: A Recap!

Last week, under the expert direction of Ms Yu, the Languages Faculty proudly presented a Lunar New Year Trivia competition. The event not only allowed students and staff to showcase their knowledge but also served as a vibrant platform to delve deeper into the rich traditions of this celebration.

Each student was invited to submit their entry into the trivia competition with the chance to win fabulous prizes! It was as simple as conquering the trivia challenge with questions such as:

1.           What are the lucky colours in Chinese culture?

2.           Which food symbolises abundance and is an important part of Chinese New Year?

3.           Which festival falls on the last day of Chinese New Year?

4.           According to legend, how were the 12 zodiac animals first decided?

Last Wednesday saw the excitement peak as 10 entries per category were randomly selected and our winners announced at assembly.

谢谢 Xièxiè Thank you to Ms Yu, whose expertise and dedication brought this cultural experience to life, making it a memorable moment for our school community.
