School Council Nominations

It is that time of year when we invite all interested parents to nominate for School Council. Parents play a vital role on School Council in providing unique perspectives and viewpoints as well as a wealth of experience and skills from other areas. 

Membership tenures are for 2 years. 

School Council meets 8 times per year on Tuesday nights at 7pm. See the planned schedule here. (Dates are also on the shared school calendar.) 

School Council manages the governance of the school, including topics such as management of facilities, finances, fundraising, community links, long term strategic direction and more. It does not cover the management of student, staff and curriculum issues or other items considered 'operational'. 

For the period March 2024-March 2026 we are seeking nominations for the following: 

• 4 x parent members
• 3 x staff members

Parents do not require specific skills, knowledge or training and we invite people from all backgrounds and with a diversity of experience to consider nominating. 

Nominations are open from Friday March 1 - Friday March 15. Simply complete a nomination form and return it to the front office or to kenneth.chatterton@education.vic.gov.au via email. In the event we receive more nominations than spaces, an election may be held to select the successful members.
