STEM Highlights

Prep, Year 1 & Year 2:

Experimenting with colours - using our special red magnifying glasses to decode our blue writing and drawings. 

Challenge: Using buttons and bluetack see how tall you can build a structure using the buttons. The challenge is to make sure the button structure stands and doesn’t fall over.

Year 3/4:

The students used the playdough they made earlier in the term to create a ball run using cups and then a marble maze. 

Year 4/5 & 5/6:

Challenge: Working in a small group, design and build a bridge that spans a gap of 50 cm (between two tables) and supports the weight of a moving toy car. 

The students have been moving through the design process to complete this challenge. Watch this space for the students finished bridges.
