Learning in R5

With the new receptions joining us, R5 have been busy getting to know each other and the school. We have shared information about ourselves, completed self-portraits and have been learning all about our school values and expectations. We love discovering different cultural festivals that people at our school celebrate and with the Luna new year taking place at the start of February, we delved into the year of the dragon by creating our own dragons! During maths we have been looking at different ways to make patterns. The students got creative by making patterns with partners using musical instruments. It’s been a fun start so far!

Science in G2

G2 students conducted a science experiment to investigate evaporation. To do this, we poured water onto concrete and traced around it with chalk. We then left it for an hour and checked to see how the puddle had changed. We discovered that the liquid puddle had disappeared. This was because the suns heat changed the water into vapour, a process called evaporation. - Luka and Ashwin
