Queen Victoria Market

★★★★★

The Queen Victoria Market is located in North Melbourne on Peel Street.

Queen Victoria Market has been around since 1878 and it is a must see venue in Melbourne.

There are over 600 shops and stalls.

Some places at Queen Victoria Market sell food such as meat, fish, fruit and vegetables, bread, eggs, deli goods, coffee, tea and much more.

Other stalls sell hats, bags, watches, sunglasses, rings, jewellery, keychains, singing bowls, jibbets, clothes, toys, fidgets, lollies, but that's only a few. There are much more to find out.

I visited the Queen Victoria Market as a trip on camp. My favourite stall was the Singing bowls, I had a go at the singing bowl with water in it. The water would spit up out of the bowl and go everywhere. Unfortunately I couldn't afford to buy one as they were out of my budget, but it was fun to have a go. I found out that if you're using the bowl with water the slower you go the more the water spits up.

I ended up buying a keychain and some jibbets as well as a hot jam donut and a chicken hat. The hot jam donut was really hot and gooey.

In my opinion I thought the Queen Victoria Market was the second best place I went to on camp.

You want some South African biltong, you got it!

You want a box of Goblickers for five bucks, you got it!

You want a pair of mermaid socks or a fur lined hat, it’s all there!

My favourite stall was the Singing Bowl vendor. Skye H had the knack of the massive water filled singing bowl. The vibrations of the bowl made the water dance! It was mesmerising!

O’Briens Ice House

★★★★★

AMAZING!!! Five stars for O’Briens Ice House. They give a ten to fifteen minute lesson on how to ice skate. Then  you get free time. There are so many places to take photos and they look so good. My friend and I took a very pretty photo together. The staff are so nice. I forgot how to move and I just had to ask and then one of the staff came and helped me and if people fell over they would ask if you're ok and we would all laugh when we saw the staff fall in funny ways. I fell once and it was funny. It was like a cartoon when they did that funny fall and even though I fell about one hundred times trying to get to the exit it was so much fun. Five stars and I would go again.

URBAN CAMP 2024 by Zayn M

★★★★☆

The Queen Victoria Market was really fun and there were some really cheap prices like a giant lolly strip for only 4 dollars and the people were really nice and helpful.

★★★☆☆

The O’Brien ice skating rink was fun and I learnt how to skate but I fell on my bottom and it hurt for 2 days. Other than that it was amazing and really cold. My fingers nearly fell off.

★★★★☆

The Melbourne gaol was really interesting and fun. We learnt a bit about its’ history and Ned Kelly was imprisoned there and that was cool because we saw his death mask.

★★★★★

The MCG was an easy 5 stars because our tour guy met Nick Daicos and he was a Collingwood fan. The view of the oval was amazing. The seats were too.

★★★★★

The place that we stayed at was really nice and it had really good food that we ate for breakfast and dinner. The cabins were nice and refreshing because we had an air conditioner in every cabin.

O’Briens Ice House!

★★★☆☆

O’Briens  Ice House is located near Docklands, Pearl River Road in Melbourne, Victoria.

O’Brien Ice Skating is owned by O’Brien Group Australia.

O’Briens Ice Skating was made around 2010

O’Briens Ice Skating is around 14 years old.

O’Briens Ice House was fun. I got to learn a lot of stuff and fell on my bottom a lot. It was my first time skating  and it was fun, I liked it alot. The boots were tight, but I think it was me making them a bit too tight.

I loved O’Briens Ice House/Skating and I hope I go to this again some time.

O’Briens Ice House Review (by Kate L)

★★★★☆ total rating: 4 / 5 stars

The O’Briens Ice House has been operating for 14 years, opening in February 2010. The ice house is a very spacious area including 2 ice rinks, a café and ice hockey training and group activities.

The Ice House was an overall nice ice skating place with friendly staff that help you with tips and guidance on how to ice skate and how to improve.

My experience with O’Briens Ice House was a pleasant delight with a 15 minute guide on basic manoeuvres  to ice skating. My only 2 complaints were that the glass connected to the barrier made it quite difficult to hold on, but I didn’t really use the wall so it wasn’t that big of a deal. My second complaint is that we weren’t allowed to have any guidance pushers to help us stay up straight if we were unsure about ice skating. But overall it was a good experience and I would come again.

★★★★☆

Overall the O'Briens Ice House was pretty good, although it would be better if there was an option to be able to roller blade/skate with there being 2 rinks.

The O’Briens Ice House has been up and running since February 2010 with multiple records held in those 14 years! The address is - 105 Pearl Street, Docklands, Vic 3008.

My experience at The O’Briens Ice House was amazing with friendly staff and lots of tips and tricks! My family and I will definitely be going back. The Queen Victoria Market is located in North Melbourne on Peel Street. It has been in operation since 1878 and it is a must see venue in Melbourne. The variety of items you can purchase at the market is very extensive.
