Notizie Italiane

Ciao,

On Tuesday the 29th of August it was Italian day. It was great to see everyone dressed up in Italiano themed costumes or just in Italiano colours. The Year 6 leaders set up all different activities for the preps through to the year 5’s to do. We thought it was great that the Grade 6’s got to try and be teachers for the day.

At recess everyone got a choice of chocolate or lemon gelati and at lunch we could mangiare pizza. It was all so yummy!

The scuola leaders, Mabel, James, Jess and Joe ran an activity where they learnt about the history of all the different Italian flags.

The wellbeing leaders and the RE leaders Ashton, Sarah, Asher Co and Georgiana ran an Italiano based trivia.

The art leaders Amelia, Mietta, Asher Rose and Jaz ran an activity where everyone made designer handbags or Venice Masks.

The healthy community leaders Samantha, Zoe, Natalie and Cara organised a scavenger hunt about Italian inventions.

The rossa and blu sport captains Lewis, Lachie and Brielle (unfortunately Fletcher was absent on the day) ran a soccer game in the top green yard.

The verde and oro (gold) captains Daisy, Phillipa, Jonah and Flynn played bocce in the bottom green yard.

Last but not least, Seth and Pete ran the slideshow in the morning and took photos of the activities.

In the afternoon there was a bilingual puppet show of the Jungle Book. It was fun and the puppets were cute.

We really liked seeing everybody dressed up and well done for all the effort that people put into their costumes.

From your Italian leaders, Sophie and Ellyse. Grazie!
