International Student Program

Dear Students, Teachers and Parents/Guardians,

Sena's First Day

Last Friday, we warmly welcomed another new student, Sena from Tokyo, Japan. Sena will enter Year 10 after he completes the Intensive English Language Course. We are sure that Sena will enjoy the beach here as his favourite sport is swimming.

From the pictures  you can see that Sena's First Day was very productive: he enjoyed the cooking class, (coincidentally, students were making Sushi Rolls that day), playing badminton in PE class, and doing water-colour painting in his Arts class.

Funnily, it took us a while to figure out how to type "/"  on his laptop as the keyboard was configured to only type in Japanese! We called all our Japanese students for help and finally Mr Yin worked it out! Well done Mr Yin!

Seminar on Relationships and Bullying

Our wonderful School Nurse Ms Pamela Johnson hosted a special seminar on "Relationships and Bullying" for our newly enrolled international students. Ms Johnson talked about positive relationships, asked everyone to reflect on their own strengths, and raised awareness on the different types of bullying and strategies for dealing with it.

We are very pleased to see that our students engaged very well and asked a lot of questions. Thank you Ms Johnson for an educational session for our students!
