2023 Victorian State School Spectacular

State School was AMAZING! It was held on the 9/9/2023. I really enjoyed hanging out with my friends and singing and dancing. It is a great opportunity for kids in year 4 to have a chance to sing and dance. Our wonderful teachers who came with us are Mrs Pratt, Mrs Friebel and Mrs Clow.

State School Spectacular is an opportunity when you have wonderful rehearsals and practice a lot of songs. In some songs there will be a little dance. This year State School Spectacular went to John Cain Arena to perform. We had 2 shows and you get to see other acts. At the end of the first show so many kids felt very proud. It’s a very big opportunity and you get for the performance a top that has on the back State School Spectacular.

In State School Spectacular a bunch of different schools from around Victoria come together to perform a lot of fantastic different songs and dance. We rehearsed many times at school, at Melbourne Town Hall and at John Cain Arena. The last Saturday the 9th of September, we performed two big shows at John Cain Arena. 

Things that I liked - 

That you are included in something that involves the entire state! 

You get to hang out with your friends outside of school and on the bus. 

You get to sing, dance and have lots of fun. 

It was so cool performing in such a big arena like John Cain Arena 

Things that I didn’t like - 

That I missed out on fun activities at school (even though State School Spectacular is actually more fun!) .
