What is your role at Concord School? 

Administration

Provide us with a ‘snapshot’ into your daily routine at Concord School:  I produce the newsletter, update Compass attendance, answer the phones and general administration and reception duties

What do you love most about working at Concord School? 

Being part of an amazing school community and working in a tight knit team environment with lovely friendly staff and getting to know all the students, parents/carers

Favourite Food: Italian

Favourite Movie/TV Show: Anchorman and The Block

Favourite music:  Michael Buble - Jazz

Things I dislike the most: The cold weather

Hidden Talent or Something We May Not Know About You: I have triplet sons

My late Mum because I miss her cooking and our talks

What is your role at Concord School? Classroom Teacher in UPG 

Provide us with a ‘snapshot’ into your daily routine at Concord School: I teach in UPG on Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays.  I arrive with a hot cuppa in hand and make sure we are set for the day.  We love getting the day off to a good start with our Morning Meetings, and then getting stuck into our lessons and working hard through the rest of the day – we like to have a bit of fun along the way, too!

 

What do you love most about working at Concord School? Getting to know the awesome students in UPG and working with a great bunch of teachers 

Favourite Food: Thai 

Favourite Movie/TV Show: Game of Thrones 

Favourite music: Foo Fighters, Pink, Taylor Swift 

Things I Dislike the most: Stepping on my children's Lego – ouch! 

Hidden Talent or Something We May Not Know About You: I’m a Kiwi and have been scuba diving in three countries 

Favourite Sporting Team/Athlete: All Blacks and Matildas!

My late Grandma, so she could meet my children

Uniform Shop

Concord School Uniform Shop will continue to operate throughout the term by appointment only if a fitting is required.  We will continue taking orders via phone/email/hand delivered form.

 

All orders will be sent home with your child. If there are any issues with the order such as sizing, we will be happy to provide an exchange. Any exchanges must be made completed within 1 month of purchasing and proof of purchase must be shown.

Donations of Secondary Second-Hand Uniform Items Needed

Attention Parents/Carers of Secondary School Students.

When your child outgrows their Secondary School uniform, please consider donating it back to the school if they are in good condition. 

 

Your child may pass these items on to the staff at the Bundoora Campus Office.

My Time

My Time is a free resource for parents/carers of children with a disability. It is a support group which allows parents/carers to come together to discuss and share their experiences.

 

Children are also welcome at MyTime. A play leader will engage children in meaningful play nearby in a playgroup, while parents can unwind and enjoy the sessions.

Diamond Valley Athletics Club 'Willinda Classic'

 

 

For the first time, the Diamond Valley Athletics Club's 'Willinda Classic' event will include an All Abilities 1000m race. This will be FREE to enter with participants able to choose the distance they participate and if they would like to be a part of a team.

 

This event is a part of Council's Inclusion@Sport program, and is open to all ages and abilities.

Irabina is excited to announce the launch of our new Community Support Services.This service has been established to support NDIS-funded individuals living with a disability and their families to: boost independent living-skills, promote meaningful community involvement and have a tonne of fun!The Community Support Team are proud to offer tailored-support and will work with individuals and their families to design their own support programs that suit their individual needs.Taking part in a Community Support Program also means access to a range of specialist supports, including: Psychologists, Occupational Therapists, Speech Pathologists, Paediatricians and Behavioural Practitioners.Here are a few areas where we can offer support:   

  • School: transitioning to and from school, support in the school setting. 
  • Special Events: sporting events, concerts, musicals etc.
  • Home: Self-care, independent living-skills (cooking, cleaning, eating, organising etc.)
  • Camping Trips
  • Going to the shops: grocery shopping, buying clothes, buying gifts, exploring the shopping centre and building meaningful community relationships.
  • Holidays: theme parks, the beach, camping trips and other holidays/getaways.
  • Community Parks
  • In-Centre Skills Hub (this is where group activities and independent living-skills will be practiced and supported).

We are Livin Social Adventures!  A Disability Support business offering supported activities and adventures for young people (16-35) with mild to moderate disabilities and mental health conditions. 

Our primary goal is to help young people build friendships, explore new activities and get the skills they need to live and work independently.

Popular activities include: Bowling, Laser tag, Movies, Gym Fridays, Aquarium and much more!

For any students who have NDIS funding, they are able to claim our support costs through their NDIS plan as long as it's self managed or plan managed. We also offer pick up and drop off for anyone living within 20km of Eltham which we have found to be extremely helpful for busy parents.

Home@Scope is part of the Scope family. Scope has been providing services to people with a disability and their families for over 70 years. We offer a variety of service including Day and Lifestyle options, Therapy and Supported Accommodation.

 

At Home@Scope Short Term Accommodation and Assistance we:

  • Offer a fun experience away from home for people with a wide range of disabilities and health needs.
  • Provide the opportunity to learn new skills, meet new people and help NDIS participants achieve their goals.
