Ms M and Mr Jared
Last Friday, our Year 5/6 School Leaders, House Leaders and 5/6 JSC's had the exciting opportunity to attend the NYLD (National Young Leaders Day) presentation in the city. Throughout the day, students listened to inspiring speakers who shared powerful messages about leadership, resilience, and making a positive impact.
Our leaders represented the school with pride, demonstrating excellent behaviour and enthusiasm. They engaged thoughtfully with the presentations and came away with valuable ideas about how they can continue to grow as leaders within our school community.
It was a fantastic experience that has motivated our students to lead with confidence, kindness, and responsibility. We look forward to seeing them put their new skills and ideas into action throughout the year.

The following report has been written by our Waratah Leader, Naomi Mitiku, who shares her insights and experiences from attending the NYLD.

The JSC recently organised a fundraiser in support of the Good Friday Appeal, bringing excitement to the school with a “Guess the Easter Eggs in the Jar” competition. Students eagerly took part, making it a fun and engaging event for everyone involved. Thanks to the generosity of our school community, an impressive $100 was raised for the Royal Children’s Hospital.
Congratulations to Harvey Kendall, who correctly guessed the number of eggs and was our lucky winner!
