Mr Jacob Cincurak - Senior School Sports Coordinator
Year 8 student Seb Wilson, recently travelled to Sydney to compete in the NSW All Schools & NSW CIS Combined Triathlon.
The super-sprint event included a 300m swim (4:26), a 5km ride (8:14) and a 1.2km run (4:12), giving him a total time of 18:35.
Seb finished 2nd overall and 1st among NSW CIS athletes out of 193 competitors, earning a place at the NSW All Schools Nationals later this year.
He also competed in an Aquathon an hour later, placing 18th, which was considered a “cool-down effort.” Congratulations Seb!

Congratulations to Year 9 student Caleb Anderson, who recently represented the NSW PSSA Team at the School Sport Australia National Championships in Perth.
Caleb played a key role throughout the carnival, helping his side to early wins against the Northern Territory (by 63 runs) and the ACT (by 110 runs). Across the tournament, he proved to be a reliable all-round contributor - finishing multiple innings not out with the bat, averaging an impressive 43, and making valuable contributions with the ball as one of the most economical spin bowlers of the carnival while also picking up key wickets late in games.
NSW finished the championships in third place, narrowly missing out in their final match against Western Australia by just two runs. The experience provided valuable learning opportunities, and Caleb should be extremely proud of his performances and the way he represented both his team and state.

Congratulations to Year 8 student Tom Perry on his outstanding results at the Victorian State Track Championships in Melbourne. Making the trip interstate was a significant commitment, and his efforts were well-rewarded.
Tom claimed a silver medal in the U15 Boys Individual Pursuit, setting a personal best in the process, and also secured a bronze medal in the Time Trial.
Well done, Tom, on an excellent performance.

Tuesday evening marked the beginning of what we hope will become a new College tradition, as our Senior Boys AFL team played their first twilight match against The Scots School Albury in a cross-border clash of independent schools.
Led by Mr David Miles, a squad of 22 students from Years 9–12 took to a waterlogged ground following days of heavy rain. The challenging conditions favoured contested, ground-level football, and Scots proved strong in this area. Captain Chase Singe led from the front, consistently placing himself in the thick of the contest, while College Captain Rylan Frazer competed strongly in the ruck and around the ground. Charlie Coulter also showed great promise in the forward line, applying strong scoreboard pressure. Although the boys fell short on the scoreboard, a stirring three-quarter-time address sparked an impressive final quarter, with multiple scoring opportunities and a determined defensive effort that kept Scots scoreless.
The Senior Girls team followed, overcoming early disruption after losing several players to field a courageous side of just 13. Under the guidance of Mr Jarrod Monaghan and Captain Matilda Davis, the team settled and played with increasing confidence. Ava Lowe and Lucy Hocking were strong in the ruck contests, while Tilly Smith impressed with her physical presence. Imogen Gardiner provided an exciting run, and late in the game the girls lifted again. With seconds remaining, Sammi Murray marked within range as the siren sounded. Her kick was smothered through for a behind - the single point enough to secure a thrilling victory.
Congratulations to both teams and their coaches on their efforts. With a tournament scheduled for early Term 2, both sides will take valuable experience and confidence into their next challenge.

A highly motivated group of 26 students travelled to Wagga Wagga Oasis Swimming Pool for the Annual BISSA Swimming Carnival as an advancing stage to the NSW CIS event held in May.
There was outstanding swimming on display throughout the carnival, with students stepping up to fill events and form relay teams, ensuring Trinity was strongly represented across the board. Their collective effort placed us in an excellent position, resulting in the Boys Overall Champion School trophy and Runner-Up Overall School.
We also celebrated five Age Champions:
Several records were broken across the day, and many students achieved personal best performances, making it a memorable and highly successful carnival for Trinity.
