Last night’s Reception to Year 2 Parent Information Night was such a joy — what a blessing to see so many of our parents and caregivers gathered with a shared heart for their children’s wellbeing, growth and learning. Moments like these remind us that we are not meant to do this important work alone.

Raising and educating children is a shared calling — one God invites both families and schools to participate in. Parents are given the sacred role of nurturing faith, values and identity at home while teachers provide guidance, learning and structure that help children discover their gifts and grow in confidence. Each role is unique but when we work together they weave a strong, steady support around every child.

The Bible teaches us that partnership multiplies strength. When parents and educators communicate, encourage one another and work with unity of purpose, God uses that collaboration to create a rich environment where children can flourish. Last night was a beautiful expression of this shared commitment — a reminder that together we can help each child grow into the fullness of who God created them to be.

Ecclesiastes 4:9–10 (NIV)“Two are better than one because they have a good return for their labour. If either of them falls down one can help the other up.”

Loving God,Thank You for the gift of our school community and for every family who joins in the shared work of nurturing and guiding children. Strengthen the partnership between home and school so that together we may support each child with wisdom, compassion and unity. Bless our parents, teachers and children with patience, joy and a deep sense of Your presence in all we do. Help us walk together in faith as we grow the young lives You have entrusted to us. Amen.

We look forward to welcoming our Year 3 to Year 6 parents tonight and sharing in another meaningful time together as we continue this wonderful partnership.
