YEAR 4

FROM THE TEAM

Yet another amazing week done in Year 4, with so many learning opportunities.

In Reading, we have begun reading the text ‘Circle’ by Jeanie Baker, where students unpacked unfamiliar vocabulary and phrases and identified information that is important to the story and information that is just interesting.

In Writing, students applied their skills learning over the course of the term to plan, draft and edit their independent writing to end our unit on Coral Ocean.

In Math's, we have begun our three-week unit on Multiplication and Division. Students practiced their 3, 4 and 8 times tables through fluency games and learnt strategies such as double and half to solve multiplication problems.

In Inquiry, students have continued to research the geographical features of our Neighbouring Countries.

Students are already very excited about our upcoming Term 2 camp. Please keep an eye on Compass over the next couple of weeks for further details and information about the deposit payment.
