Level 4

What a wonderful end of term we have had in Level 4!

Melbourne Zoo Excursion

As part of our Inquiry unit, we went to the Melbourne Zoo to see the animals we have been studying in Inquiry in real life, up close! The weather was kind to us as we wandered, discovered and learned about so many different animals. And most importantly, we were able to see Noodle, the baby giraffe.

Inquiry

We have been so excited to show our learning in Inquiry through a ClayMation video using the StopMotion app. It has let our creativity shine as well as sharpening our photography and technology skills. We are looking forward to sharing our work with each other and with our families on Thursday afternoon. If you can't make it, we will be uploading them to Google Drive so you will be able to access them over the holidays to share in the fun.

Reading

We have enjoyed Book Club so much this term! As we are finishing our books, we are creating a Book Review to reflect on some of the themes, characters and plot points. We have loved using our reading strategies in a new way and being able to sit each week and share our thinking with our classmates.

Writing

In keeping with the zoo theme, we have been creating narratives about the Night ZooKeeper. This has seen us thinking of all sort of adventures and different characters who might come out in the night.

Maths

In Maths, we have been learning about all things time! Using a calendar correctly, converting units of time, thinking about elapsed time, 24-hour time, analogue clocks, there has been something for everyone!
