Level 3

It’s been a jam-packed few weeks in Level 3, and with the end of term just around the corner, there’s been lots of fun and learning happening in our classrooms and on camp!
Camp
We had such a successful camp at Mt Evelyn! Students challenged themselves by trying new activities, learned lots along the way, and made wonderful memories with their friends. It was also a great opportunity for many to build new friendships and strengthen teamwork skills. We are so proud of the way all students gave their best and supported one another throughout the experience.
Numeracy
Students have been learning about capacity in Maths. They’ve enjoyed hands-on activities like filling and pouring containers to explore millilitres and litres. The children have also been estimating, measuring and solving real-life problems, making their learning both fun and practical.
Literacy
Level 3's have been learning about explanation texts. They have explored the structure of these texts, learned how to use clear, topic-specific vocabulary, and are now beginning to write their own explanation texts to show how or why something happens.
Inquiry
As part of our Inquiry unit, Grade 3 students have been learning about the life cycles of animals. They researched their chosen animal, designed and created a suitable habitat, and then used this setting to film a stop-motion animation that shows each stage of the life cycle. The students have done a fantastic job bringing their learning to life in such a creative and engaging way.
