Brooke's Message

Welcome to Term 4!
As we enter the final chapter of the 2025 school year, I want to take a moment to reflect on the incredible growth and achievements of our students and staff, and to share our excitement for what lies ahead.
Term 4 is always a special time—it’s a season of celebration, transition, and preparation. Our students are continuing to build on their learning, and staff are working hard to ensure every child finishes the year with confidence and pride in their progress.
🐾 Bunji’s Back! 🐾
After a well-deserved holiday full of belly rubs, naps, and maybe a few cheeky treats, Bunji made his grand return this week—and we couldn’t be happier!
He strutted back onto campus like a true superstar. With his calm presence and wagging tail, Bunji stepped back into his role ready to spread comfort, connection, and a sense of calm across the school. Students lit up when they saw him, and it’s safe to say the school feels a little brighter with him back on campus.
Welcome back, Bunji—we’ve missed your paw-sitive energy!
Looking Ahead to 2026
As we begin looking ahead to 2026, we will be working on finalising class placements for 2026, with careful consideration given to each student’s learning needs, friendships, and wellbeing. Our goal is to create balanced, supportive learning environments that will help every student thrive.
Thank you for your ongoing support as we prepare for another fantastic year.
🎄 Christmas Card Competition – Get Your Jingle On! 🎄
It’s that time of year again—our annual Christmas Card Competition is back and bursting with festive cheer!
In the coming weeks will be inviting all students to unleash their creativity and design a one-of-a-kind Christmas card. Whether it’s drawn, painted, digital, or made with glitter and glue—anything goes!
The winning designs will be featured on our official school Christmas cards, with one winner chosen from each section. This is the chance for our students to become a published artist and spread some holiday joy across the school community!
☀️ Term 4 is Sun Smart! 🧢🕶️
Term 4 is the perfect time to remind everyone about being Sun Smart and we are encouraging all students to stay safe while enjoying the sunshine. Whether it’s playtime, PE, or outdoor learning, sun safety is a top priority.
Here are some Sun Smart tips for students:
🧢Wear your hat- A wide-brimmed or bucket hat helps protect your face, neck, and ears.
💧Drink plenty of water - Staying hydrated keeps your body cool and your brain focused.
🌳Find shade - Take breaks under trees or shaded areas during outdoor activities.
🧴Apply sunscreen - Make it part of your morning routine and reapply if you're outside for long periods.
We look forward to some sunshine after a few cold months!
🎬 Celebrating Creativity and Inclusion!
We were thrilled to share that our ‘Turn Up’ video was selected for the 2025 Focus on Ability Short Film Festival!
This inspiring project highlights the voices, talents, and creativity of our students, and we couldn’t be prouder of their achievement.
A group of students even had the opportunity to travel to the city on 7th October to attend the festival — a truly memorable experience!
Congratulations to everyone involved in bringing this vision to life. Your dedication and passion continue to make a powerful impact. Winners will be announced at the Australian Red-Carpet Awards to be held in Sydney in November!
Let’s keep turning up the volume on ability and inclusion and good luck to MSS!

With graduation celebrations, exciting excursions, and our annual Celebration Day just around the corner, Term 4 is bursting with moments to enjoy and cherish.
These events remind us of the laughter, learning, and lasting connections that make our school community so special.
Thanks for being part of the journey — let’s finish the year with positivity, progress, and a whole lot of pride!
