Religious Education across the School
The start of Term Four classes will be completing a unit of work on Mission. The series of lessons will help children learn about the Christian faith in a way that connects with their everyday life. It encourages them to understand God’s love, ask important questions, and grow closer to Jesus while living kindness and care for others.

St Therese's Feast Day Mass 9.15am
St. Therese's Feast Day is an important occasion for our school, as we celebrate our patron saint, St. Therese of Lisieux. On this special day, we celebrate students who embody the qualities and virtues of St. Therese, such as kindness, humility, faith and a spirit of love in everyday actions.
Sunday Gospel - Luke 17:5-10
A reading from the holy Gospel according to Luke
If you had faith!
The apostles said to the Lord, ‘Increase our faith.’ The Lord replied, ‘Were your faith the size of a mustard seed you could say to this mulberry tree, “Be uprooted and planted in the sea”, and it would obey you.
‘Which of you, with a servant ploughing or minding sheep, would say to him when he returned from the fields, “Come and have your meal immediately”? Would he not be more likely to say, “Get my supper laid; make yourself tidy and wait on me while I eat and drink. You can eat and drink yourself afterwards”? Must he be grateful to the servant for doing what he was told? So with you: when you have done all you have been told to do, say, “We are merely servants: we have done no more than our duty.”’
Reflection
In Luke 17:5 –10, the disciples ask Jesus to increase their faith, but he reminds them that even faith as small as a mustard seed can do great things. This shows that it’s not about how much faith we have, but about truly trusting God, even in small ways. Jesus then tells a story about a servant who simply does his duty without expecting praise. In the same way, we are called to serve God with humility, doing what is right not for reward or recognition, but out of love and obedience. This passage reminds us to trust God with whatever faith we have and to serve him faithfully, knowing that we are simply doing what we were made to do.
