Connection

Kids are better able to cope with challenges, and feel more confident in who they are, with connected attachments to their parents. Find some tips here.

Catholic Care - SJB Counsellor

At Saint Josephs, we have a Catholiccare Counsellor onsite Tuesdays, to offer mental health and wellbeing support to our students.  See the link for more info.

You maybe thinking your kiddo needs some professional support with their mental emotional wellbeing, but you're not one hundred percent sure, or really know how to go about that.  Click the link for more.

Reminder: If your child was receiving support from the School Counsellor last year, and you would like that to continue in 2025, you will need to refill out the referral forms, which can be accessed at the admin office, or via your child's teacher.

Catholic Care - Courses are now open for enrolments

CatholicCare's Families and Communities Program has developed two new programs.

  • Loving Well: A supportive program for individuals ready to build healthy, fulfilling relationships after separation. Each session explores essential themes, such as understanding relationships, values, self-awareness and managing change. Participants will also gain strategies for rebuilding their life after separation, communication styles and understanding "love languages", all designed to help start new relationships with greater confidence, awareness and care.

  • Families Living Well in a Cyber World: Technology helps society function at large, and this trickles down to impact the family unit and individuals in their day to day living. This program will provide support to parents and carers, assisting them to understand "the pull" of technology in the present age, how it impacts parenting and child development. The program also explores healthy strategies to navigate the world of technology with your family, all whilst encouraging connection, enhancing communication, boundaries, balance and building healthy relationships.
