Dear Parents,
Welcome back, everyone, and I hope you had an amazing break. We are ready to go for what is going to be an extremely busy and fun Term 4. Children are already back into learning and teachers are prepared and have planned for 10 weeks of learning.
The warmer weather is upon us and it is a timely reminder that children should bring a navy blue broad brim hat to school each day along with a drink bottle. Please ensure your child’s name is labelled on all of their equipment and uniform (hats and jumpers).
We welcome Ms Katelyn King who will complete her University Placement in Weeks 1, 2 and 3 this term. Ms King will work with 3/4F and Mrs Francis. Ms King is well known to us all, not only as a casual teacher but a former student and a staff member at ASPIRE OOSH.

Over the holidays we have had lots of work done at school. We have had air conditioning installed in the four Stage 3 classrooms, School Canteen, Executive Office and Staff workroom. It looks sensational and has come just at the right time.
Over the holidays, we have seen lots more work occur on the Nature Strip at school. Bathurst High Campus General Assistant JJ assisted our General Assistant Mark Davis rotary hoe the ground with the tractor and then soil from Hotham’s was delivered and the earth works were completed by Civil Earthworks. The watering system was installed by Thinkwater in the first week of the holidays. During the second week of the holidays, turf was laid by Greenacres Turf Farm. We can’t wait to see this area once the grass has grown. It will be a wonderful area to play. Thank you to our General Assistant Mark Davis who has managed and coordinated this work for our school. Thank you to Think Water, Greenacres Turf Farm, Civil Construction, Hotham’s Sand, Soil, and Gravel Supplies, TMN Plumbing, Michael Smith Electrical and Bathurst High Campus staff who have all contributed their time and expertise to completing this area. All of these companies and people have been very generous in their support of our school. Thank you, all.
Good luck to Lilly Turnbull and Enaya Ibtida Ifsah as they head to Sydney next week to compete in the NSW PSSA Athletics Championships. We are so proud of Lilly and Enaya and can’t wait to hear the results on their return. Go get them, girls!
SCHOOL SWIMMING UPDATE - ENROL NOW AS ENROLMENTS CLOSE SOON
Recently we have secured funding for our School Swimming Program. This funding has been allocated by the School Sport Unit Student Support and Specialist Programs. This funding supports 288 children attend the swimming program at a reduced rate. That means that each child will pay $40 less, making the total amount payable for the Swimming Program in 2025, $100 for the 10 day program. If we get more than 288 children, we are able to access more funding to ensure each child attends swimming at the reduced rate. Please enrol now so we ensure as many children as possible learn this valuable life skill and access this lower fee rate.
Information for those parents who have already paid the full $140.00 fee; If you have paid the $140 in full for the Swimming Program, this has been refunded to you as per the DoE and Sentral refunds policy. This refund was actioned on Tuesday 23/09/25. You will now need to pay the $100.00 fee for the School Swimming Program for your child to attend. Please contact Denise Noble at school if you have any queries regarding your payment.
