This Friday is  World Teachers Teachers Day in  Australia. We have already acknowledged our wonderful teachers and staff at the beginning of the term at our Mass. I want to reiterate yet again the  brilliant efforts of all our  staff  at SJV in their mission to educate and care  for our students and families.  May we continue to be blessed here at St John Vianney's , and may all teachers and educators continue to work their magic to bring out the very best for young people and  school communities.

Indonesian Day

Today our students and community members  celebrated our Indonesian Day!! What a wonderful cultural  celebration!

Students and families dressed in Indonesian colours and immersed themselves in a range of activities, dance and and games. These all  promoted  the Indonesian culture and language.

How lucky are we to have Pak Kris our most talented and passionate Indonesian Teacher. We thank him for all his  organisation. One of his strengths, is to engage students in the assisting in the day, and so a huge thanks to our Year 5-6 Indonesian Committee.  We extend thanks also to the Indofood for their donations.

We have no doubt that our students enjoyed the day and  continue to  enjoy the Indonesian  language and cultural experience at SJV.

Thank you to all the parents that volunteered at our annual School Disco. You did an amazing job. Thank you to staff who attended as well. It was a big success with over 85% of students participating in this night. It was great to see the wonderful dance moves of our students!  For those who were able to stay, it was lovely to see  people enjoying company with others!

Classes in 2026!

We are firmly in the process of planning classes for next year. Placement arrangements are as follows.  Each student will be asked to nominate five friends they know and work well with. We will ensure that every student is placed with at least one of these nominated peers. It is important that your child selects students they know and feel comfortable learning alongside.

Parents are welcome to submit a request for their child’s placement. Requests must be addressed to me in writing and sent to my email amullaly@sjvmulgrave.catholic.edu.au.

All requests by Thursday 6th November.

We ask that you do NOT request a particularly teachers for the following reasons.  We have not finalised grade teacher placement. Teachers may move from SJV.

Please note that while all requests will be considered, our priority is to make decisions that support the educational, social, and emotional needs of all students. For this reason, requests will only be granted where there is a very significant reason.

We appreciate your trust in this process and your support in helping us create the best possible learning environment for all children. Please note that if you have made requests in previous years, you will still need to submit a new request this year, as previous requests may not be  an issue now,  nor carried over or perhaps even remembered.
