Student News PLC 2

This semester, PLC 2 students have been exploring our Integrated Unit of ‘Creativity’. The classroom has been busy with new learning experiences, hands-on activities and plenty of opportunities for students to express their curiosity.
Each week, Peyton, Jai, Christopher, Sajjad and Deepinder have been taking part in Science sessions, where they have been developing their skills in making predictions, describing observations and using a range of new scientific equipment such as pipettes, beakers and stopwatches.
Students have been learning about solids, liquids, and gases, exploring the functions of the human senses, and experimenting with chemical reactions. Some highlights were creating colourful fizzing ‘dancing’ rice and testing out exploding zip-lock bags, both of which brought lots of excitement to the room!
Another highlight this term was our excursion to the World Festival of Magic in Ivanhoe. Students were fascinated by the juggling performances, illusions, and clever magic tricks they saw performed live on stage. Here are the students’ reviews of the excursion:
- Peyton: “fun.”
- Deepinder: “clever.”
- Christopher: “funny.”
- Sajjad: “great.”
- Jai: “alright.”
We’re proud of how engaged and enthusiastic PLC 2 students have been throughout the semester, and we look forward to more creative adventures ahead!
