Welcome back to Term 4

The children in the 3 year old Kindergarten group returned to Kinder last week full of stories about camping, celebrating their birthdays, and some special moments spent with their families. Despite the break, many of the children have jumped straight back into play and routines while we also warmly welcomed new children in our group, offering them gentle encouragement and patience as they settled in.

Just before term 3 ended, we had a special visit from Julia from Hey Dee Ho who ran a ‘Sing and Sign’ class for the 3 year old group. Through music and movement, the children were introduced to Key Word Signing and Auslan. She showed us how to sign some parts of the Acknowledgement to Country, useful phrases such as ‘I am hungry,’ ‘I am thirsty,’ and how to do an Auslan clap! Building

on our learning from Term 3, we are excited

to continue exploring more meaningful and

inclusive ways to connect and communicate

with one another.
